  • We exist to Evolve

That’s it. We complicate things, but that’s, at the end of the day, all it matters. We exist to evolve. And when we don’t evolve, we get stuck, we grow unhappy, we question why, we feel something is not right, we feel misaligned… Then, we evolve and we learn, and we grow, and we become more resilient, more patient, more resonant with life; we don’t see ourselves as the centre of the Universe. We start learning how everything we do, say and act comes back to us. We start understanding we are the wave and the ocean. And then, we may get stuck again. But now, we know how to get back on track. “We exist to evolve the conscious practice of leadership, to steward the planet, and awaken us all to our inherent unity”. This is the mission statement of Robert J Anderson on The Leadership Circle, the company he founded and presides. When I became acquainted with the philosophy behind the Leadership Circle Profile I wanted to eb part of it and help myself and others evolve. Thats why I am a certified LCP practitioner. The LCP is a psychometric assessment that measures the effectivenes of a leader and paves the way for that leader to become more efficient. I can guide you through the process of taking the assessment and do the debrief with you and coach you to be the most Effective Leader you can be. #Evolution #LeadershipCircleProfile #PsychometricAssessment #Purpose #LeadershipDevelopment #LeadershipCoaching #Coaching #Existance #PurposefulLiving

  • Masculine and Feminine energy

We all possess both masculine and feminine energies, though they may manifest at different frequencies. Personally, masculine energy was much easier to access for me during my first 35 years of life. I did plenty of exercise to channel and release it, as sports gave me the playground to let this energy flow freely. Sometimes criticised and singled out for “being so masculine”, I often thought I needed to tone it down and compensate for it by embracing my intuition and authenticity. That was before having my children. Motherhood took me to a whole new level of experiencing my feminine energy and also my masculine. I finally realized it wasn't about diminishing my masculine side, but rather empowering my feminine. Now, I can access it from a powerful place filled with love, boundaries, self-assurance, and compassion. Maintaining this delicate balance isn't easy, but it's really worth the effort. Thanks to Dana and Katie for bringing this topic up and holding the space for self-reflection. #leadershipdevelopment #yinyang #personaldevelopment #masculineandfemenine #coaching

  • To the power of team-play!

A few weeks back, I was talking to the Manager of a well-known organization, as he explained that one of their biggest challenges is to play as a team. I remembered these words above by Isaac Newton. I think we can’t ignore that success is not a solo endeavor; it thrives when individuals come together, leveraging the strengths and wisdom of those around them and those who came before. By standing on the shoulders of giants, we honor their legacy while forging our own path. In a world overflowing with possibilities, collaboration becomes the catalyst for growth. Each member contributes their perspectives, skills, and experiences, creating a synergy that propels us to new heights. When we unite as a team, we amplify our vision and expand our horizons, seeing further than we could alone. Together, we propel innovation, ignite creativity, and realize the extraordinary. So, here it is, to the power of team-play! #TeamPlay #TeamCoaching #Coaching #LeadershipDevelopment #Collaboration #CollectiveEffort #SuccessTogether #Synergy #Innovation #Inspiration #Leadership #TogetherWeAchieve #StandingOnShouldersOfGiants

  • Leadership and Self Awareness

When I think of Leadership and self-awareness, too often, this image comes to me: People, hiking shoulder to shoulder, each with open wounds, oblivious to the wounds of others; and many times, oblivious to their own. Leadership is a journey that requires strong vision and strategic acumen. And also a deep understanding of oneself and others. Emotional scars remain beneath the surface, affecting our thoughts, actions, and interactions. They shape our perspectives, biases, and decision-making processes. Without self-awareness, we may unintentionally project our pain onto others or overlook the struggles our team members might be facing. Leadership is not about hiking alone, carrying our wounds silently. It is about forging a path together, shoulder to shoulder, acknowledging and honoring the wounds we all carry. #Leadership #SelfAwareness #Empathy #Vulnerability #GrowthMindset #Teamwork #LeadershipDevelopment

  • Avoiding the search for Purpose

Sometimes we do distract ourselves with pleasure or overindulgement. But we can also, very well, get distracted by creating drama and conflict, by getting very busy and supposedly productive at work, by shopping or watching TV… all of this, to avoid the void of not having a purpose. #Purpose #Passion #Meaningoflife #LeadershipCoaching #PurposefulLiving #SelfAwareness #PersonalGrowth #SelfDevelopment

  • SPIRITUAL BYPASSing

A client I had would never get angry. She shared with me the experiences of enduring daily, public, and highly unfair treatment from a colleague. Her response to the situation was: "This doesn't affect me because I have no Ego. I've moved beyond these things. It's unfortunate that she feels the need to humiliate me to boost herself. I genuinely wish her the best." For me, that was a clear example of emotional bypassing; When we use spiritual concepts to avoid taking responsibility for our emotions. Sometimes, although it may seem terrifying, we must stop pleasing people and, at least, show a fist on the table. We are emotionally grown-ups when we can feel and accept that situations like this affect us, and we are able to healthily process them. Suppressing or avoiding anger or any other big emotion doesn’t make us emotionally “sophisticated”. It makes us sick. #wellbeing #mentalhealth #spiritualbypassing #leadership #personaldevelopment

  • When we compromise our true selves in the name of safety

Allow me, a mother to a 5-year-old girl, to discuss the concept of "Authenticity vs Safety" using a children's example. The first time I saw Frozen, I was captivated by the complexity of Elsa's character. Elsa, to me, embodies a powerful woman who has so much power that she is afraid of what she can destroy, but also, create; in other words, afraid of her shadow and her light. She has a kind heart, yet she lives in constant fear, concealing her true identity and sacrificing her authenticity. "Don't let them in, don't let them see, be the good girl you always have to be. Conceal, don't feel, don't let them know." (Now, that's quite hard work!) When Elsa finally breaks free, she experiences that sense of liberation but she is all alone. And that’s when she realizes she must gather her inner strength and confront her fears instead of hiding from them. I am confident that many people can relate to Elsa's character, struggling to find a balance between Authenticity and Safety. This struggle also extends to the workplace. Thankfully, we are not tasked to hide our icing superpowers there, but we often suppress our authoritative, people-pleasing, or arrogant tendencies, and that's ok. But, when we have to compromise to such an extent that we no longer recognize ourselves, its the signal for us to say "enough" and let it go. #Authenticity #WomenEmpowerment #AuthenticLeadership #LeadershipDevelopment #PersonalGrowth #SelfDiscovery #Empowerment #authenticityvssafety #LeadershipCoaching #Coaching #ExecutiveCoaching

  • We build our own jails

I love a good metaphor, and this one from author Álex Rovira, checks all my boxes. Our mind as a complex structure that we try to navigate just to realize that we ourselves have built up the maze. Brilliant. #fears#mindeset#leaderhsipdevelopment#coaching#trauma#execuitvecoaching alexrovira #alexroviracelma

  • Someone, please change the time it takes for the Earth to spin on its axis

Someone must change the time it takes for the Earth to spin on its own axis. I often come across posts on Instagram and LinkedIn where various experts and influencers share their daily routines: Start the day with meditation or yoga, followed by weights or any other kind of exercise, a super healthy breakfast…. quality time with their friends, intimacy with their partners, read books, listen to podcasts, cook healthy meals, have a clean/zen house, learn something new, and they even manage to work. If you have children, add the following: spend quality time with Children, take care of their emotional state, read to them, read and act on the comms that come from school, feed them, put them to sleep… and all the things that parents usually do. So if I make the calculation, I just reach one conclusion. If I did all that, I would find myself in complete burnout, instead of wellbeing. So, whether someone changes the time it takes for the Earth to spin on its axis or we are not getting what wellbeing really means. For now, I’ll just do whatever I can, with the 24 hours I have, as long as it makes me happy. What’s your view? #wellbeing#burnout#leaderhsipdevelopment#executivecoaching

  • I'm a Leadership Coach, and I’m also a Fitness trainer, and a holistic health advocate

Last weekend, I was lounging by the pool when two lovely ladies asked me what I do for a living. -I'm a Leadership Coach- I said. Both assumed I'm a sports coach. - No, no, no… I specialize in coaching people at organizations to enhance their leadership skills-. This didn’t really catch me by surprise. As soon as I say “I’m a Coach”, people tend to assume I’m a Fitness Coach. Now, to be fair, they are not wrong. I'm not just a Leadership Coach, but also a part-time Fitness Trainer, at @circuitfactory, since 2014. Fitness training is my passion and my happy place, and I do integrate it into my executive coaching. Because we all know it, a healthy mind and a healthy body go hand in hand. My primary goal is to help clients achieve total transformation by addressing all aspects of their lives, and that doesn't just mean getting some exercise. Also, getting appropriate sleep, eating healthy food, building healthy relationships and doing the things we all know make us feel better. So yes, I'm a Leadership Coach, and I’m also a Fitness trainer, and a holistic health advocate. #leadershipdevelopment#coaching#executivecoaching#holisticwellbeing#fitnesstraining#circuitfactory

  • The only thing you can control is within you

Frankl believed that the human spirit is capable of incredible resilience and adaptability. Even in the most challenging times, we can find meaning and purpose by shifting our perspective and focusing on what we can control. By changing our perspective, we can change our behavior, and, ultimately, our outcomes. Even when we feel like we are up against a wall, there's always something we can do. Instead of dwelling on what we can't change, we focus on what we can and use that as a springboard to transform ourselves and our situation. #ViktorFrankl #Transformation #SelfImprovement #PersonalGrowth #MindsetShift #coahcing #personaldevelopment

  • Let's dream crazier

Last night I dreamt I was a professional cyclist. And this morning, out of nowhere, I stumbled upon a commercial by Nike "Let's dream Crazier" from 2019. Guess I didn’t dream crazy enough, but to all the women who did dream crazy, who went beyond their limits and the beliefs of their parents, their families, their environment and themselves, I admire you! I also hope that female professional athletes will receive equal compensation soon enough so that next generations can get inspired by seeing their moms, sisters, cousins and friends making a living out of sports. Let’s dream crazier! #womenempowerment#womeninspports#femaleleaders#equalcompensation
